| Make sure your environment is set up according to the installation instructions and that you are sourcing the SetUpFreeSurfer file you created. You may not have the MRI_DIR or FREESURFER_HOME variable defined properly. If it is, check to make sure the file $FREESURFER_HOME/lib/tcl/tkmedit.tcl and $FREESURFER_HOME/lib/tcl/tksurfer.tcl exist, for tkmedit and tksurfer respectively. If not, there is a problem with your installation, and you should reinstall or get a recent udpate.
