It is easiest to go from surface point to volume point, but you can go the other way too if you are sure to click on a point near the main surface intersection on the volume slice.
In the surface viewer, click on a point, then choose the Tools->Save Point
menu command or click on the Save Point button on the toolbar (it looks
like a disk with a small crosshair in the corner). In the volume viewer,
choose the Tools->Goto Saved Point menu command or click the Goto Saved
Point button on the toolbar (looks like an opening folder with a crosshair
in the corner).
The instructions for going from volume to surface are almost identical.
