| ==== Cost ==== ==== Deadlines & Accepted Payment Types ==== The Payment deadline is '''February 2, 2017''' for all payment forms except for institutional check. The payment deadline for those sending an institutional check is March 6, 2017 with the expectation that we will be contacted by your financial institution by February 2, 2017 to confirm a check is being issued. As long as there are empty spots in the course, we will accept late registrations (regardless of the payment deadline). If you register after the payment deadline has passed, payment is due immediately. Payment and all questions about payment should sent to Stacey Ladieu (sladieu at martinos dot org). Please Allison (astevens at martinos dot org) on your emails with Stacey so she can update your payment status accordingly. ==== Missed Deadlines & Cancellations ==== If payment has not been received by the payment deadline ''or'' in the case of an institutional check, your institution has not contacted Stacey Ladieu (sladieu at martinos dot org) with details of their payment arrangement by that date, your spot will be opened to the waiting list. There is no need to contact us to check whether your payment has gone through - your spot is safe unless ''we'' contact you. Course fees are refundable up to the payment deadline. A $200 fee will be deducted, should you request a refund up to 2 weeks prior to the program. After that, the tuition can be applied to a future program or you can send someone in your place. ## In the case there are less than 40 registrants for the course, the course will be cancelled and the registration fee will be refunded to the registrant. |
==== Cost and Deadlines ==== The fee for the course is €800 for post-doctorates and other researchers. A reduced rate of €500 is available to undergraduate and graduate students (pre-doctorate). MDs,''' PhDs, '''and research assistants do not qualify for the student rate. Payment must be submitted as soon as possible to ensure successful registration. The payment deadline is June 30th, 2017 for both payment forms (credit card and bank transfer). In the particular case of bank transfer, once payment has been completed, please send proof of payment to Julieta Pereda (''' jpereda@red-innova.es ''') to confirm you your spot. If payment has not been received by the deadline or you have not contacted Julieta by that date, your spot will be opened to the waiting list. You will be contacted by us before we do so. Course fees are refundable up to the payment deadline. A €200 fee will be deducted, should you request a refund before July 15th, 2017. After that, you will not receive a refund but you can send someone in your place. Once you complete and submit the registration form below, you will receive an email confirming your registration within 24-48 hours. This email will also contain instructions for completing payment through Universitat Pompeu Fabra's event website. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please contact Julieta. Payment
Cost and Deadlines
The fee for the course is €800 for post-doctorates and other researchers. A reduced rate of €500 is available to undergraduate and graduate students (pre-doctorate). MDs, PhDs, and research assistants do not qualify for the student rate. Payment must be submitted as soon as possible to ensure successful registration. The payment deadline is June 30th, 2017 for both payment forms (credit card and bank transfer). In the particular case of bank transfer, once payment has been completed, please send proof of payment to Julieta Pereda ( jpereda@red-innova.es ) to confirm you your spot.

FAQ
How many individuals are accepted into the Barcelona course?
- 60 people
Do postdocs qualify for the student rate?
- No, sorry.
- The course is full. Can you register me for the next one?
You can sign up for our course mailing list and you will be notified when registration for the next course opens (that list is here). You can also register for the currently full course to be put on the waiting list for it. This does not however automatically get you a spot in the next course.
Can I get a receipt for the course?
- Sure! Paper receipts will be available on the first day of the course. If you need a receipt or invoice before then to get a check issued or reimbursed, please use the confirmation email you received when you registered for the course.
How do I know if my payment went through?
- Julieta will contact you when payment is received.
Do I get any credits for taking this course?
- No, but we will give you a certificate to prove you took it.
Can I bring my own laptop to work on instead of sharing with someone else?
If any issues arise during the tutorial sessions which are unique to your laptop, we will not be able to troubleshoot those issues for you (it takes staff away from answering general tutorial questions). We strongly discourage using your own laptop instead of the ones we provide. If you insist on working on your laptop, please thoroughly test your installation ahead of time - guidelines for this can be found on the TestingFreeSurfer wiki. It might also be a good idea to try to run all the commands in the tutorials (here).

Getting to Barcelona
BY AIR: Barcelona-El Prat Airport
El Prat airport is located in El Prat de Llobregat just 12 km South West of the Barcelona city centre. It has two passenger terminals: Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2). The airport has allocated airlines to terminals, regardless of the destination of the flight.
El Prat airport & Flights in real time
Transfer options from the airport to the city centre:
By Bus (Aerobús): The Aerobús is an express bus service that connects the Barcelona-El Prat airport with the city centre (plaça Catalunya) in 35 – 45 minutes (Fare: 5,50€). You can take the Aerobús outside Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. This service runs every day of the year with departures between 5 and 15 minutes. From the city centre, you can take the metro or a bus to move around Barcelona. From the city center to the airport, bear in mind the departure terminal of your flight and take the Aerobús, line A1, to terminal 1 or Aerobús, line A2, to terminal 2.
By train (RENFE): The train service (R2 line) runs approximately every 30 minutes to and from Barcelona airport to the city centre. The journey takes 25 minutes. The train service operates from Terminal 2 (T2). To get from T2 to T1, use the shuttle bus service (Bus transit T1-T2). If you travel from the airport to the city centre, you can get off at Barcelona-Sants, Passeig de Gràcia or Clot which are serviced by metro stops. Barcelona suburban trains

The rates and surcharges are displayed inside the cab. In Barcelona, a taxi may be ordered by phone; found at authorized taxi rank or flagged down in the street (journey time: 25-35 minutes; fare: from €20)
